Graduated from Alvarado High School in 1922 and atttended a professional teaching college in Arlington, Texas. After that she taught in many rural schools near Alvarado. Later her and her husband "KAY" Hopkins moved to Austin and he pursued several professions there. One included running a small grocery store. And working as an exterminator, I think.
After the death of her husband Beunah moved back to Alvarado and lived with her older sister Lenna Brown. Both women were very active with the Eastern Star for many, many years. They would attend the formal banquets and meetings. I can see them dressed in their formal dresses leaving for one of their banquets.
She was also a very active member of the First Baptist Church where her and Lenna attended every Sunday.
