Mrs. Fannie White, wife of Thomas White, who resided about 3 miles southwest of town, died at 8:05 o'clock on last Saturday evening, aged 46 years the 4th of last month. She was the daughter of Samuel DeHaven, and a most excellent Christian lady. She had been a member of the U.B. Church for 27 or 28 years, and always lived a true and devoted life. She leaves a husband, son, father, mother, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters, besides other relatives and a host of friends to mourn the death of one whom they cherished and loved in this life. She had been an invalid for a long time. She had a severe attack of the grip about 2 years ago, which was followed by lung trouble and finally caused her death. The funeral occurred at 11:30 a.m. on Monday last at the U.B. Church, where a large audience was in attendance to pay their respects and hear the pastor, Rev. W.H. Jones, perform the last sad rites, after which her remains, which rested in a beautiful white casket, were followed to the Thomas Cemetery and consigned to their last earthly resting place.
