Mary Ann Banta age 83 of Tuttle, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in OKC. She was born on April 12, 1929 at home on a farm west of Minco. She was the middle daughter of three daughters born to Marmy Duke McDaniel and Ella Mae (Whitlow) McDaniel. Mary grew up a farm girl near the Buggy Creek area west of Minco. She attended her first eight years of school at Timber Ridge, then went to Minco schools where she graduated with the class of 1947. On September 11, 1947, Mary married the love of her life, Loyle Cleburn Banta. Together they made their home in the Tuttle area where they raised two children, Rick and Lisa. Mary worked as a homemaker most of her life. She was a faithful Christian and an active member of the Tuttle Church of Christ. Mary's most valued treasure was her family and she loved spending time with them. She had several hobbies including playing cards with her friends, watching college sports on TV and as of lately she became an avid OKC Thunder Fan. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, she was a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother, she was a special sister, a caring aunt and a dear friend to all who knew her.
