Evangeline was born on a homestead near Blaine OR. She was named for Evangeline Booth the daughter of William Booth who was founder of the Salvatin Army. Eva, grew up on the homestead, had rheumatic fever as a child which scarred her heart and caused her health problems for life. She had several jobs as a young lady, housekeeper for a Jewish family, for one. Married Harmon James Branson May 3, 1930 in Newberg, OR, son of James M Branson and Bertha Alice Strange. She married Harmon at age 23 and had two daughters June and Alice, then they divorced.

In 1943 she married Clare Hutchens at Stevenson WA and they had three more children, Anna, Clara, and Martha. They resided in Newberg and Dundee, OR until 1953 when they moved to Cascade, ID. They lived there until her death in 1965.

Eva was a wonderful Christian and a devoted mother. She was a slight woman, never weighing more than 100 lbs., she had blue eyes and brown hair.

She is buried next to her mother who died 3 yrs earlier.
