Diane Marie Laureys, age 59, of Elkhart, passed away July 27, 2011 at her residence.
Diane was born March 26, 1952 in Lansing Michigan to Wallace D. and Eugenia L. (Martens) Fowler. On September 24, 1971, Diane married Ernest Laureys Jr. in Lansing, Michigan.
Surviving are her parents, Wally and Jean Fowler of Holt, MI, her husband, Ernest Laureys Jr. and their three children, Ernest Laureys III, Michele Laureys, both of Elkhart, and Steven Laureys of Leesburg, IN. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Destiny Laureys of Sturgis, MI and Diane's sister, Vallorie Risdon of Weidman, MI.
There will be no visitation, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola is handling arrangements.
Diane was raised in Holt, MI, and she and her husband have been residents of Elkhart since 1995. She was employed as a telemarketer, for the Lansing State Police Department, and worked for Skyline and Heritage Cable in Elkhart.
Diane loved to crochet, and was very proficient and skilled in web design and IT work. She enjoyed working on her computer, and loved her three cats greatly. In her memory, donations may be given to the Elkhart Humane Society or the South Bend Center for the Homeless.
