From the notes of Grace Ann Cupp: Isaac Cupp was red headed, hot tempered and dealt in fine horses. The story that has been handed down thru the years is that Isaac fell in love and wanted to marry Nancy Bridges. He went to her father to ask his permission and Nancy's father told him no. He said Nancy's older sister would have to marry first. So, Isaac married Sarah and Nancy moved next door. Shortly afterward, Isaac built a large house, split it down the middle and gave Sarah one side, Nancy the other. Note: Death date uncertain.
