Funeral services for Mrs. Rhoda (Dudney) Denson, 91, of Gainesboro, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Gainesboro with Bro. Dewayne Chaffin officiating. Burial was in John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone Community of Jackson County with Anderson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Denson died Monday, Jan. 7 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker, a member of the Church of Christ, and a resident of the Roaring River Community of Jackson County.

Born May 11, 1910, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Mack and Belle (Jenkins) Dudney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Averette Dudney, Sam Dudney, Charles Dudney, Bill Dudney, and Nelson Dudney; and three sisters, Mary Nell Hix, Sarah Netherton, and Agnes Hall.

Survivors include three sons and three daughters-in-law, Ewin L. and Mary Lou Denson, Livingston, Shirlie and Judy Denson, Cookeville, and Jerry and Joyce Denson, Gainesboro; three grandchildren and a granddaughter-in-law, Joey and Tammy Denson, Gainesboro, Jackie Denson, Bozeman, MT, and Tyler Denson, Cookeville; and two great grandchildren, Josh Denson and Ashley Denson.
