Benj Derhammer, 24 Jan 1922, p 7, col. 4 - Medina Co. Gazette: Benjamin F.; Derhammer, Chippewa Lake, Ohio, born Feb 22, 1861 and died Jan 13, 1922, aged 60 years, 10 months, 20 days. He was bornin Guilford township, the son of Phaon and Catherine Derhammer. He was united in marriage Dec. 25, 1887, to Amanda Alice Arnold. To this union were born two sons, Blake Clayton and Robert David, both married. Mr. Derhammer was confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran church May 12, 1878, and was a consistent member of this church in the ensuing year. He lived all his life in Medina county and was a kind neighbor, always ready to help anyone in need, good husband, and loving father and grandfather. On Jan 4, he arose as usual, but was soon taken with a severe chill which developed into pneumonia, proving fatal, deth coming Friday morning, Jan. 13, at 3:10. Besides the widow and two sons, six brothers, Alec, David, Levi, Martin, Henry and Thomas, and two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Loehr and Mrs. Lucinda Derhammer, mourn the loss of this useful life.


Benjamin Franklin Derhammer was the husband of Amanda Aronold Derhammer. They were married on 25 Dec 1887 and had 2 sons Blake Clayton and Robert David. Blake is buried at Spring Hill also. Benjamin was born 22 Feb 1861 in Montville, Medina, Ohio and died 13 Jan 1922.

Buried in Section 9 Lot 85 Grave 1.
