Lovinia Catharina Bobb was the daughter of Wm Friedrich and Henrietta Louisa Kreiter (Kreider) Giering of Emmaus, Leheigh Co., Pennsylvania. She was baptized and raised in the Emmaus Moravian Church. After her marriage in 1853, Lovinia lived in Berks County, Pennsylvania, but returned to the place of her birth after her husband's death in 1865, and resided there until her death in 1902. Lovinia and Dr. Bobb had three children: William, 1854-1922; Lovinia Mary, 1856-1886; and Anna Jemima (Emma), 1861-1936.
