Charles "Chuck" E. Plank, 56, of LaPorte, died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at LaPorte Hospital.

He was born Nov. 14, 1954, in LaPorte to Robert Sr. and Maryette L. (Euler) Plank.

Chuck worked as a semi truck driver for OTR and worked for AMC Theatres in Michigan City, IN, for the past eight years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Wall Gang. Chuck played Santa Claus for over 20 years. His favorite hobbies were riding motorcycles and building and collecting miniature trains.

Surviving are his brother, Maynard (Dottie) Plank of North Judson, IN; sisters, LaDonna Buchman of Plymouth, IN, and Emma (Kenneth) Kamrowski of Hesperia, MI; four aunts; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Plank of Mill Creek, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Plank Jr.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service in Oak Grove Cemetery and a memorial service will take place at a later time with Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, handling arrangements.
