John VanDuyn of Humrick, IL, died July 2, 1901. He was born in Parke County, April 28, 1835, and moved with his parents to this county when 18 years of age. He resided in this county until his marriage to Miss Dorothy Edmonston, March 26, 1857. His funeral was held at 2:30 o'clock on last Wednesday afternoon, after which his remains were interred in the cemetery at Yankee Point, IL. Leroy T. Edmonston and his sister Malissa, of this township attended the funeral.
