Tressie Bula Rice, age 92, of Sugar Tree, Tennessee, passed away July 25, 2011.

She was born September 30, 1918, in Houston, Arkansas to the late James Arthur and Mary Ethel Pedigo Goff.

During World War II she worked in the aircraft industry throughout the United States in a "Rosie the Riveter" roll as her contribution to the war effort.

After the war she worked in several restaurants charming all her customers.

Tressie had a joyous homecoming, she was welcomed into her new home by Jesus and all of her family was there to greet her.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: John Rice, two brothers: Clyde and Garland Goff, two sisters: her twin, Ressie Lemley and Mildred Womack, one nephew: Martin Chapman.

She is survived by one brother, Kenneth Goff of Houston, Arkanas; one sister, Sada Chapman of Sugar Tree; eighteen nieces and nephews, numerous gret and great-great nieces and nephews. She was adored by each of them.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2011, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Terry Davis and Bro. Greg Stanford officiating.

Burial will be at May Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to Calvary Baptist Church, 254 W. Main, Parsons, Tennessee 38363, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
