Harold Forbis, Jr. of Miami, Ok died Monday July 25, 2011. He was 71.
Mr. Forbis was born October 8, 1939 in Old Ketchum, Ok to Harold and Jewel Woneda (Periman) Forbis. He graduated from Ketchum High School in 1957. He had lived in Miami for 25 years moving from Cardin, Ok. He had worked in maintenance at B.F. Goodrich and Blitz USA in Miami. He was a member of the Highway Tabernacle in Quapaw, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ivy Edward Forbis, a sister Dovie Lou Forbis and a Great-grandson Kobie Michael Smith. He married Mary Jane (Rhodes) on October 6, 1958 in Miami, OK. She survives of the home.

Funeral Services will be Saturday July 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, Oklahoma. Rev. Ray Clonts will officiate. Pallbearers will be Larry Mahurin, Dustin Forbis, Rusty Forbis, John Forbis, Mike Gaines, and Robert McKibben. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at The Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, OK. Services are under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, Oklahoma.
