"Funeral Will Be Held On Wednesday; Interment At Fogartyville"
"Mrs. A. J. Beck, mother of Donald Beck of this city, died Monday afternoon at her home in Sarasota.
A native of New York, Mrs. Beck was the widow of Dr. A. J. Beck who was pastor of the local Baptist church from 1904 to 1915. Moving to Sarasota in 1920, Dr. Beck was pastor of the Baptist church there until his health failed.
Besides her church affiliations here, Mrs. Beck was identified with musical and literary circles, being a member of the Friday Literary club. While a resident of Sarasota, she wrote many beautiful poems.
She is survived by the following children: Andrew and Miss Nellie, Sarasota; Mrs. Norman Dale, Columbia, Tennessee, and Donald Beck, Bradenton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Sarasota Baptist church. Interment to be beside her husband in the Fogartyville cemetery."
