FOREST BRADFIELD
OHATCHEE, Alabama, ------Forest E. Bradfield, 90, of Ohatchee, Alabama and formerly of Sioux Falls, died Monday in Gadsden, Alabama.
Mr. Bradfield was born February 12, 1897, in Neodesha, Kansas. He married Hazel Anderson, October 16, 1918, in Independence, Missouri. He lived in Neodesha until 1921 when the couple moved to a farm near Colton, South Dakota.
They moved to Sioux Falls in 1927 and lived here until 1979, when they moved to Ohatchee. In 1928 he began working at John Morrell & Co. until his retirement in March 1962, the last 15 years in the paint department. During the 1930's, he played on the Morrell softball team for many years.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Ernest, Ohatchee; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond, Paramount, California; and one sister, Dulcia Grim, Syracuse, Kansas. Services will begin at 10 A.M. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, with Burial in Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at noon today at Miller Funeral Home.
