Family and friends of Cyril D. 'Cy' Conklin 77, of Minonk, Ill., will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 87th and Lisson Road, Naperville.
Born March 6, 1922, in Krebs, Okla., he died Saturday, March 6, 1999, at St. Francis Hospital, Peoria. Interment will be in Naperville Cemetery.
Mr. Conklin had been employed in the oil industry and had also worked for Helene Curtis, retiring in 1986. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda Conklin (nee Zuba) of Minonk; daughters, Debra (Michael) Tracy of Naperville and Carrie (Thomas) Capotosto of Lombard; sons, David (Melanie) Conklin of Magnolia, Texas, and James (Teresa) Conklin of Katy, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Esther (nee McGinnis) Conklin.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville.
Memorials in Mr. Conklin's name may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Liver Foundation.
