Dr. A. M. Clingman was one of the founders of the Waco Medical Association. He was a graduate of the Eclectic Medical College of Cincinnati in 1860 and then moved to Waco.

Graduated in 1860 from Eclectic Medical College in Cincinnati, Ohio. Served as a surgeon in the Confederate Army. Came to Waco in 1865 from Arkansas. One of the founders of the
Waco Medical Association. A member of Waco Lodge No. 92, A.F. and A.M.
