Born in Watauga County Aug. 24, 1905, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Annie Hagaman.
She worked as a cook at the Bethel School and was a homemaker.
Surviving are one sister-in-law and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Vera Hagaman, Margaret H. Reese and an infant; and four brothers, Fred, Dave, John and Charlie Hagaman.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 until 2 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. James D. Hagaman. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
The family respectfully requests no food. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Bethel Cemetery Fund, in care of Bill Sherwood, 2176 Bethel Road, Sugar Grove, N.C. 28679.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 until 8:30 at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
