FORT WORTH - Curtis Benton, 92, a retired carpenter, died Thursday at a local hospital.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown, Gause-Ware, Owens & Brumley Funeral Home. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Benton was born Oct. 2, 1903, in Venus. He was a member of the Hemphill Heights Masonic Lodge 1164 AF&AM.
Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Clovis Inez Benton of Fort Worth; son, Teddy John Benton of Fort Worth; three grandchildren, Larry Joe Benton and Curtis Wayne Benton, both of Fort Worth, and Garry Lynn Benton of Illinois; seven great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
