David Ray Detamore 50, of the Little Sand Run Community of Buckhannon, Died Sunday, April 27, 2003 at St.Joseph's Hospital surrounded by all family and friends who loved him. A son of Lawrence Lee "Punk" Detamore and the late Wilda Jean Sandy Detamore. His wife, Norma Arlene Casto Detamore, whom he married May 22, 1976, survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Tracy Dunn, four brothers, Jim, Lawrence "Bud", Donald, and Steve, three sisters, Janice Cutright, Virginia, and Vicky and several nieces and nephews. One brother, Rondald Dale Detamore, preceded him in death. Mr. Detamore was a Baptist by faith. He was employed by J.F.Allen Co. of Elkins for 27 years. At the time of his illness, he was working as a paving equipment operator. Mr Detamore was a veteran of the US Army and an avid hunter and fisherman. The funeral was at 1:00 pm, April 29, 2003 at the Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel. Services conducted by Rev. Beryl McKisic and Rev. Mike Cutright.
