Willie Sue Abernathy Henderson, 87, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Mrs. Henderson was born in Spartanburg County on June 30, 1920, the daughter of the late James Doc and Crosby Evelee (Smith) Abernathy.
She was the widow of Lewis Andrew "Andy" Henderson, was a homemaker and a member of Parkway Baptist Church, Campobello, South Carolina.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Dodd and husband David; two brothers, Bill Henderson, Everett Henderson; one sister, Bertie Elizabeth Effler; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Edna Mae Bridges; and three brothers, Boyd, Alvin and Woodrow Abernathy.
The family received friends Monday, December 10, 2007, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Seawright Funeral Home, Inman, South Carolina.
Funeral services were held at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 with Pastor John Smith and Rev. Henry Coley officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Inman, South Carolina.
