He was born May 17, 1899 in Osage City, Kansas, the son of Andrew and Francis Tayrien. He married Beverly Hughes on November 18, 1955 in Raton, New Mexico.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Pawhuska, a veteran of World War I, a member of Veterans of World War One of the U.S.A., Inc., having served with the U.S.S. Eighth Naval District. He was retired from the construction business where he was a pipe-fitter of Local 208 in Denver, Colorado. After his retirement Mr. Tayrien moved back tp Pawhuska.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly, of the home; four sons, Daniel of Colorado, Joseph of Pawhuska, Dustin of Colorado and Alfred, Jr., of Kansas. Four daughters, Jennifer Granger of Bartlesville, Tammie Grimm of Colorado, Martha Baylor of Oklahoma and Donya Chrest of California.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson’s Funeral Directors.
