BODIES OF NINE SERVICE MEN RETURNED FOR BURIAL

The bodies of nine service men killed overseas were scheduled for reburial at the National Cemetery here with military honors this week. Five of the bodies arrived at the funeral home Monday. Four more of the returned dead were to arrive Tuesday. The service men to be reburied here were:

Private First Class Lee A. Kellogg, son of William J. Kellog of Ozark, Arkansas, whose funeral service was scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the National Cemetery.

Private Arthur G. Soderling, son of Thomas C. Soderling of Waldron, Arkansas whose funeral service was scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at the National Cemetery.

Staff Sergeant Grady E. Saylor Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Grady E. Saylor Sr., of 120 North Fifth Street, whose funeral service was scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the National Cemetery.

Private First Class Hillery R. Stallings, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Stallings of Van Buren, whose funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Edwards Funeral Home chapel with burial at the National Cemetery.

Private First Class John E. Weaver, son of Mrs. Della M. Weaver of Van Buren, whose funeral service was set for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the National Cemetery.

Staff Sergeant Wesley E. Shot, son of Leslie Shot of Waveland, Arkansas, whose funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, at National Cemetery.

Staff Sergeant Lloyd E. Haslip, son of Richard Haslip of Alix, Arkansas, whose funeral service was scheduled for Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the National Cemetery.

Private Ollen C. Johnson, son of William L. Johnson of Eagleton, Arkansas, whose funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at National Cemetery.

TECHNICIAN FIFTH GRADE CALVIN G. HALEY, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Haley, former Van Buren residents now living at Tule Lake, California, whose funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at National Cemetery.

The first five war dead listed above arrived at the funeral home Monday. The last four were to arrive Tuesday. Service for the first two listed above was postponed from earlier announced dates.
