Ada Ellen Blackburn Spires, 91, passed away July 18, 1999.
Born in Gallia County, Mrs. Spires lived in the Mogadore area most of her life.

She was a member of the Springfield Church of the Brethren and the Daughters of America.

Preceded in death by her husband, John Harken Spires, July 3, 1989; daughter, Reva H. Misher, in 1987; and granddaughter, Kerrie Ann Mishler, in 1963, she survived by son, Ron (Nancy) Spires of Mogadore; son-in-law, Robert Mishler of Mogadore; grandchildren, Kim E. (Bruce) Morckel, Amy Mishler, Robert (Lisa Tossell) Mishler, Jeffrey Spires, Deborah R. (Jerry) James and Abagail N. (Larry) Hostetler; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Springfield Church of the Brethren, 3500 Albrecht Avenue, with Reverend Steven W. Van Houten officiating.

Burial at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Hopkins Lawver MOGADORE Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue, 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and one hour prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to her church or a favorite charity. (Hopkins Lawver, Mogadore, 733-6271.)
