Betty Holliday Pope, age 81, of Richmond, died Sunday (December 7, 2003) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Abington, Indiana on August 14, 1922 to William and Alice Woods Holliday and had lived in this area most of her life.

She had worked at Hamburger King and JM Hutton Casket Company and was a retired employee of Reid Hospital where she had worked in the newborn nursery and also in material processing.

She had also worked for Richmond Community Schools Food Service at Dennis Middle School. She attended First United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Robert Pope, died in 1977.

Survivors include: Daughter Rose Marie Reichter of Richmond, Son Richard Pope of New Paris, Ohio, Brothers William Holliday of Richmond, Cecil Holliday of Richmond, Sisters Ella Roberts of Baltimore, Maryland, Dorothy Ancell of Baltimore, Maryland, Rita Carlin of Richmond, Janet McBride of Richmond, Norma Day of Winchester, Indiana, Grandsons Tony (wife Kim) Pope of New Paris, Ohio, Joe Reichter II of Key West, Florida. Great Grandsons Justin, Nathan and Ethan Pope of New Paris, Ohio, Nieces & Nephews.

Two brothers, Earnest and Charles Holliday, and four sisters, Edna Davis, Juanita Wilmore, Thelma Nye and Mary Kelly are also deceased.

Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
