Geraldine L. Hernandez Morel, 70, of Morgan Manor, Morgantown, formerly of Lafayette, La., died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 27, 1930, in Lafayette, daughter of the late Iris Robert and Wallace J. Hernandez Jr.
She was Catholic and a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons and spouses, William C. Jr. and Kathy Morel, of Morgantown, and Charles and Cynthia Morel, of Raleigh, N.C.; two daughters and spouses, Iris and James E. Wolfe, of Pentress, and Caroline E. and Leo Shay, of Morgantown; two brothers and spouses, Wallace J. Jr. and Edwina Hernandez, of Lafayette, and Frank Robert and Frances Hernandez, of Breauz Bridge, Pa.; a sister and spouse, Jeanne and Robert Bacon, of Lafayette; 10 grandchildren, Heather Wolfe Gamble, Holly Wolfe Hinerman, James Edward Wolfe Jr., Courtney Shay Brady, Leah E. Shay, Charles W. Morel Jr., Lee William Morel, Sean Alan Morel, Katherine L. Morel, William C. Morel III; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Dering's Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery, Pentress.
