Chester Arthur Remy, 95, of chillicothe, passed from his life Saturday morning, Nov. 4, 2000 in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. He was born Sept. 8, 1905 in Vinton County, the son of John and Retta Henderson Remy. In 1933 he married Margaret Corrigan who preceded him in death March 23, 1992.
Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Eugene Cooke; a granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Disbennett; a great granddaughter, Ashley Rae Disbennett, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. is parents and three half-sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Remy was an employee of Mead Paper, retiring in 1966 with 41 years of service. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a fifty year member of Scioto Lodge #6, F&AM, chillicothe York Rite Bodies, Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus, and Mead local 731.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Brown officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to trinity U.M. Church. The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is serving the family
