"MRS. MARY ABRAMS DIES
Mrs. Mary F. Abrams, widow of Sylvester Abrams, aged 77 years, died at Richmond, Ind., on Wednesday, April 13th of pneumonia following a short illness. Mrs. Abrams had been ailing for several months, but had been able to be around a part of the time until she contracted pneumonia. Regular funeral services were held at Richmond. The remains were brought here Saturday about noon and were taken from the station to the cemetery for interment. Rev. Addison officiated at the grave.
The Abrams family were former residents of this place. It will be recalled that Mr. Abrams met his death in a most tragic manner by being struck by a fast moving train on the Pennsylvania railroad at a crossing in Raysville. This happened before the double tracking system was built, and the accident occurred at the crossing south of Brickey's store.
Mrs. Abrams is survived by three sons--Joe, Charles and James Abrams. Undertaker Charles Baxter was in charge."
(She was listed in Earlham Cemetery records, but the online entry now says "Burial moved". No marker for her has been found at Earlham Cemetery or Glen Cove Cemetery, but the obituary implies she was buried with her husband who does have a marker in Glen Cove.)
