DENNIS EDWARD ADKINS JR., age 84, of Ona, WV, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. He was born May 24, 1927, in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Dennis Edward Adkins Sr. and Vesta Chapman Adkins.

He is survived by
his wife, Edra Gibson Adkins;
one daughter, Rhonda Layne;
two sons, Larry Adkins and Rodney J. Adkins;
step-daughter, Ladoska Sheree Yeager;
one sister, Bonnie Burks;
one brother, Donald Adkins;
five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside service at Forest Memorial Park Mausoleum, Milton, WV by Pastor Mark Finley, Pastor Paul Meadows and Pastor David Cardwell.
