Mrs. Ida Mae Fortune
Ida Mae Fortune , 83, of 3618 Jim Tom Drive died Friday at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. today at Rosemound Cemetery, Monsignor Mark Deering officiating
Mrs. Fortune was born in Bell County and lived all her adult life in Waco. She married Robert Peyton Fortune; he died Jan. 9, 1988. Mr. and Mrs. Fortune owned Fortune Antique and gift Shop until their retirement in 1982. Mrs. Fortune sold real estate in the early 1960's. She was a charter member of St. Louis Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth McConnell of East Brunswick, N.J. and Patricia Johnson of Waco; a son, Robert P. Fortune of Waco; two brothers, L.C. Barrington of North Carolina and Leslie Barrington of Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 3618 Jim Tom Drive.
The family has designated Waco Humane Society and Animal Shelter, 2032 Circle Road, Waco 76706, for memorials.
