Thelma J. (Polly) Duncan, 77, of Woodlawn passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmo Duncan; parents, Harvey and Martha Fowler Puckett.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-laws, Dean and Ann Duncan of Galax, Bill Duncan of Hillsville, and John and Rosalie Duncan of Woodlawn; two grandchildren and spouse, Leanne and Scotty Grubb, and Casey Duncan; two great grandchildren, Paige Briggs, and Teagan Grubb; eight step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; and two step great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady at 2:00 PM with Rev. Harvey Carico and Pastor Ricky Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharp Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 6:00until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
