Obituary is from the Wisconsin Tobacco Reporter, Edgerton, Rock
Co., Wi., Thur 09 Jun 1938:

MRS. SAMUEL CLARK Clara Margaurite Learn Clark, daughter of Lee and Hannah Learn, was born March 4, 1860, on a farm west of Edgerton and passed away at her home, Wednesday, June 1, after a long period of illness. She obtained her education at the Albion Academy. On January 19, 1884, she was united in marriage to Samuel Strause, and to this union were born three children; Ethel (deceased), Norma and Lyman. Mr. Strausse passed away in 1892. She married Samuel Clark of Albion Prairie on March 28, 1894, and they lived their entire married life on the Clark homestead. Five children were born to this union; Beulah, Ruth, Violet, Edna and John. Mrs. Clark Keenly enjoyed her flowers, and she loved her family and home. She was a member of the Primitive Methodist church at Albion Prairie, and she witnesses a good confession. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons, Lyman Strausse of Fulton, and John Clark of ALbion Prairie; five daughters, Mrs. Norma Issac, Janesville; Mrs. Beulah Brewer, Hefferson; Mrs. Ruth Johnson, Cambridge; Mrs. Violet Vickers, Albion Prairie, and Mrs. Edna Moen, Cambridge; ten grandchildren, one of whom, Marion Hintz, has made her home with the deceased since infancy; two great grandchildren; two sister, Mrs. Steril Hartzell and Mrs. Hettie Ellison, Edgerton, and numerous other relatives and
friends.

I cannot say, I will not say
That she is dead. She is just away!
With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand
She had wandered into an unknown land.

And left us dreaming, how very fair
It needs must be since she lingers there
And you, of you, who the wildest yearn
For the old-time step and the glad return.

Think of her faring on, as dear
In the love of There as the love of Hear.

Think of her still as the same, I say
She is not dead; she is just away.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Albion Prairie Primitive Methodist church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Alban G. Tippins officiating. Interment rook place in the Albion Prairie cemetery.
