Cornelia M. Bunge, nee Welter, 91, New Haven, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011.
Mrs. Bunge was born in New Haven April 18, 1920, the daughter of George Welter and wife Clara, nee Deppermann.
She attended Bucklick Grade School. She was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.
On Feb. 19, 1939, she married John L. Bunge at Ebenezer Church.
Mrs. Bunge was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Bunge; and one sister, Wilma Welter.
She is survived by her son, Robert Bunge and wife Stella, New Haven; her grandchildren, Robert and Richard Bunge and Becky Inman; three stepgrandchildren, Danny Kuenzel, Jeff Kuenzel and Debbie Kuenzel; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 3, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, New Haven, with the Rev. William Zastrow officiating. The organist was Ruth Marschel with Margaret and Mary Zastrow as the duet.
The pallbearers were Robert D. Bunge, Richard Bunge, Richard Bunge Jr., Mike Inman, Danny Kuenzel and Jeff Kuenzel.
Inurnment was in the church cemetery Sunday, July 3.
Memorials to Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Heartland Hospice or the American Cancer Society are preferred.
The family was served by Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
