HUNTINGDON: Mrs. Chestine King, 86, formerly of Carroll County, died on Friday, August 29 at the Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Graveside funeral services were conducted on Sunday, August 31 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oak Grove Cemetery with Reverend Robert Simmons officiating.
Mrs. King, the daughter of the late Orval and Ethel Norden Ashby, was born on September 5, 1916. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Merle King, who died on February 15, 1983 and a son, Billy Wayne King, who died April 7, 2002.
Survivors include three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
