Mrs Margaret Agnew, wife of Patrick Agnew, died Nov 16 after a long and painful illness of tumor of the stomach. She was 50 years and 5 days old
From the residence the remains were followed to St. Patrick church in the settlement 6 miles north of Harris, where church services were held (St.Patrick's) Fr. John Redeker officiated at the solemn Requiem Mass the funeral cortage was fully three quarters of a mile in length
Old settlers say it was the largest funeral ever ascended St Patrick's hill.
She was buried in St. Patrick's cemetery.
