Cecil Ernest Humbyrd was born on November 12, 1918 in Thornfield, Missouri to Thomas Jefferson Humbyrd and Mamie Adaline (Johnson) Humbyrd. He passed from this life on July 14, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years, 8 months & 2 days.

Cecil had been a resident of the Oktaha community for the past fifteen years. He was a longtime, accomplished farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgie (Fletcher) Humbyrd on June 5, 1980 as well as by one son Leroy Humbyrd, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, one sister and six brothers.

He is survived by one son and wife; four daughters and two son-in-laws; one brother; one sister; twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

Services 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Leonard & Marker Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Bixby Cemetery officiated by Pastor Fred Igert.
