Salt Lake City, Utah, Oct. 26--William Price Appleby, said to be the last of the pony express riders, who in the early days of the west rode the trails between Salt Lake City and San Francisco, died at home here late last night. He was 80 years old and came to the Salt Lake valley in 1849. A widow and three children survive.
