Jack Rex Archibald, age 76, passed away on July 21, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Jack was born June 2, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Rex and Helen Archibald. He graduated from West High in 1953. He married Lois Watters on September 18, 1953 in Bountiful, Utah.

Known to many as, "The Oldman", Dad had a bad temper with a big heart, but you always wanted to be on his good side. He was very black and white, he either liked you or did not and he was the judge of that. He loved bowling, golf, and atv-ing, his passion was hunting with his sons', Ken, Kerry, and Kelly.

He was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed in his younger years dancing with mom, Lois, who was by his side in his final moments after fifty-eight years of marriage. Always remembered and never forgotten! But Missed Forever!

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Lois; sons, Ken, Kerry (Linda) and Kelly (La); six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Helen; brother, Ray; sister, Joan and daughter, Jackie.

Funeral Services for Jack will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Valley View Funeral Home Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
