David M. Larr of Clinton, a prominent citizen and business man of that city, died at 1:25 o'clock on last Friday morning, December 6, 1901. His death was a result of paralysis, having suffered 3 strokes in the past few months. The deceased was born in Greene County, IN, on March 7, 1851, and had been a resident of this county since 1873. He was a teacher by profession, and taught several terms of school in Helt and Clinton Townships. Had he lived till March 7, he would have been 51 years of age. He was united in wedlock February 4, 1880, to Miss Wilhelmina Anderson, a daughter of John S. Anderson and wife. The wife, 2 daughters, aged 13 and 17, one brother, 4 sisters, and his parents survive. He carried $6,000 insurance on his life. The funeral occurred at 2 o'clock on last Sunday afternoon, Rev. E.W. Souders preaching the discourse at the M.E. Church, being assisted by Rev. W.A. Matthews, after which his remains were taken in charge by the Masonic order of which he was a true and worthy member. His remains were interred in the Clinton Cemetery.
