David S. BARRETT was born December 7, 1833 in Ridgeway, Orleans county, New York, the first of six children born to Alfred BARRETT and Corintha RICHMOND. About 1836 his parents moved from New York to Ashtabula county, Ohio and then in February 1838 they moved a hamlet then called Hickory Ridge in Oakland county, Michigan. David married April 1, 1856 in Oakland county, Michigan, Sarah Mariah WOODWORTH, the daughter of Norman WOODWORTH and Annie Liza [Eliza] DILLENBACH. He and Sarah had two sons. David spent his life improving the farm he inherited from his father. His wife, Sarah died in 1896 He died January 2, 1916 at age 82 an.
Fremont J BARRETT was widowed twice, married 3 times and he died in 1933. Adrian G. BARRETT married Ida May COLE, the daughter of Hiram COLE and Judith Ann MAXFIELD and their children were Gladys and Earl C. BARRETT. Adrian died in 1914 at age 44. David, his parents, his wife, his son, Adrian, and Adrian's wife and his grandson Earl C and Earl's wife are all buried in West Highland Cemetery.
