Christine M. Albenesius,92,of rural Jackson died Monday Feb.4,2002 at a Sioux City Hospital.Services will be at St.Patrick's Catholic Church,with the Rev.Paul M.Albenesius,son of the deceased,officiating,also Rev.Michael G.Printy,former pastor will be homilist,with other priest present.Burial will be in St.John's Cemetery.Mrs.Albenesius was born Sept.11,1909,in Parkston,daughter of Adolph and Mary(Weber)Marking.She moved to Sioux City in 1928,she lived for three years.She employed in the kitchen at Lutheran Hospital.Married Nicholas Sullivan on Aug.16,1932,in Parkston.Couple moved to Ponca,he died Feb.23,1934 in Ponca,Neb.Employed with W.P.A.in Allen.from 1934-1939.Married Jospeh E.Albenesius on Sept.30,1939 in Ponca.The Couple moved to rural Jackson.Mr.Albenesius died Nov.19,1983.A member of St.Patrick's Catholic,Altar Society,served as a president and secretary,and Catholic Daughters of America Mary Our Court 2059;as teasure for nine years on Jackson School Board and parents /teacher board at Heelan High School.She was a former member of Dakota Extension Club,Birthday Club.She enjoyed cooking,playing cards and bingo,she did sewing for St.Augustine Indian Mission in Winnebago.Survivors include a daughter,Rita and husband Virgil Oligmueller of Jackson;four sons,Larry and wife Claudette;Robert and wife Mary Ann.,Rev.Paul M.Albenesius,John;22 grandchildren;32 great-grandchildren;four great-great-grandchildren;son-in-law,Ben Zimmerie.Besides her husbands she preceded in death by her parents,a daughter Joanne Zimmerie,five brothers,four sisters.
