DONNA ABERCROMBIE JONES

From "The Sapulpa Herald," Friday, August 19, 2005
Donna Abercrombie Jones, born Jan. 22, 1969, passed away Aug. 17, 2005 in Sapulpa.

Donna is survived by her grandmother Mrs. Billie Gates and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Donna will be remembered by her family and old and new friends as an open-minded spirit who was able to build true relationships with many people. Donna always found time to spend with her friends. During her early years, Donna had the opportunity to travel widely with her parents as her dad worked many pipeline jobs. Recently Donna continued her travel to several exciting destinations a few of which included Las Vegas, Nev., cruises and many east coast beaches.

Since Donna did not have close family near here, her colleagues at Thrifty Car Rental were an important part of her life. Donna worked with company employees' licenses and vendors worldwide. You could see her passion in everything she did. She was the model of the company's mission statement and guiding principles of trust, respect, self-motivation, strong integrity, teamwork and pride.

She always worked with a sense of urgency and she was an intricate part of her work family.

Everyone who knows Donna will feel her loss and miss her gift of a deep spiritual friendship.

There will be a funeral service at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2005 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 4504 East 67th Street, Suite 208, Tulsa, OK, 74136.
