STRAFFORD —Mary-belle "Belle" Hager, 89, Stratford, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Monday in her home following a long illness.
Marybelle "Belle" Cannaday was born May 26, 1903, in Springfield, Mo., the daughter of John and Mary Ellen Bridges Cannaday. Marybelle was united in marriage on July 3, 1917, to Fred Hager, who preceded her in death in 1987. She was a lifelong resident of the Springfield and Strafford areas. She with her husband, owned and operated Hager's Restaurants and Grocery Stores in both Springfield and Strafford. Belle was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Strafford.
