Howard David "H" Bailey, 90, a retired produce manager, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Itasca, with the Rev. James R. Fields officiating. Burial: Itasca Cemetery, Itasca. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home, Itasca.

Howard Bailey was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He served as a deacon and elder at First Presbyterian Church of Itasca. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a loving and compassionate friend to all. He married Mary Margaret Davis June 7, 1931, in Ardmore, Okla. She preceded him in death, Aug. 16, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Pat E. Hooks III, Sept. 6, 1970.

Survivors: Daughter, Barbara Hooks and husband, Will I. Jr. of Itasca; granddaughter, Kimberly Hooks Pennel of Itasca; great-grandchildren, Chase and Ryne Pennel; sister, Faye Sumner of Waco; and several nieces and nephews.
