Heart Attack Proves Fatal to Raymond Cahill
A heart attack proved fatal to Raymond J. Cahill, who was stricken Sunday, Nov. 1, at his home in Janesville and died suddenly. He was 44 years at the time of his demise.
Raymond J. Cahill, son of the late Patrick J. and Jennie M. Cahill, was born Nov. 5, 1919 at Janesville.
He graduated from the Janesville High School in 1942, was a veteran of World War II and a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church. He followed the trade of painter and decorator during his lifetime. He never married.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Jane Powers of St. Peter and Mrs. Anna Muellerleile of Richfield and four brothers, Patrick of Franklin, Ind., Tom of St. Paul, Joe of Finland, Minn. and Arthur of St. Louis Park.
A Requiem Mass was held Wednesday, November 4 at 10 a.m. in the St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father W. D. Sullivan officiating. Military honors were accorded the deceased at graveside rites in the St. Ann's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Mulcahey, Raymond Jewison, George Jewison, Bert Mulcahey, Frank Cunningham and Clarence Jewison.
The Arnoldt Funeral Home in Janesville was in charge of arrangements.
