Funeral services Mrs. Harriet L. Evans, 81, of 81 Hudson St., Athens, O., who died Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Sheltering Arms Hospital, Athens, where conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Two Runs Baptist Church in this county with the Rev. S. Ward Robinson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Born in Wirt County in 1876; she was a daughter of of the late Joseph and Hester Sheppard.
Following her marriage to Lewis A. Evans, who preceded her in death, she had lived in the Parkersburg area until 1930, She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Riggle, of Athens, with whom she had resided; one son William J. Evans, of Vienna; two brothers, Ed and Jim Sheppard, both of Vienna.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son and one sister, Mrs. Josephine Haney.
