Josephine was born in Oswego county, New York eighty-four years ago, being of Revolutionary descent. Her parents moved to Southern Wisconsin in her early years and there she received her education. She was a successful teacher in Beloit, Wisconsin, as well known in Vinton and Charles City, Iowa. In the latter town she was married fifty-six years ago to J. R. Adron, who survives her. They were in [sic] mercantile business in Charles City for many years. They moved to Grand Junction in 1895, buying what was known as the Davenport ranch in the Appleton section, where they continued to make their home. Mrs. Adron had been a member of the Methodist church for many years. She was a woman of education, great independence and strength of character, conscientious and of kindly and human instincts. She had been an invalid for a number of years, suffering from paralysis. She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. E. R. Ottman of this city, by an adopted daughter, Mrs. E. B. Frohn, also of this city, and by several grandchildren, nephew and nieces
