Hughlet Cole Harris had lived in Greeley Hill for 30 years. He died at Sonora Regional Medical Center. He was 85.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in North Africa and was a member of the Atomic Worker's Union and was a coker operator in oil production for 27 years.

His interests included gold mining, fishing, hunting and his family.

Mr. Harris is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Maria Harris, of Greeley Hill; brothers, Elgin Harris and Glen Harris, both of Oklahoma, Frank Harris, of Montana, and Babe Harris, of Alabama; a sister, Colleen Jay, of Oklahoma; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
