Contra Costa Times (Walnut Creek, CA) - Monday, May 1, 2006 CA United States Barbara F. Wallace Barbara Frost Wallace, 90, of Antioch, California died April 27, 2006 at Antioch Convalescent Hospital. Mrs. Wallace was born December 18, 1915 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Lester Enos Frost and Ada Holes. She grew up and attended schools and university in Winnipeg. She worked several years in both Toronto and Montreal before becoming a U.S. citizen in 1942. She worked in Cleveland before moving to the Los Angeles area in 1945, where she met and married Clive S. Wallace in 1947. They lived in several communities in California over the years, including Torrance, Norwalk, Big Bear City and Apple Valley, before moving to Antioch in 1991. Mrs. Wallace was employed at Rockwell International in Downey for 20 years and retired in 1978. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, having served in the Primary, Mutual and Relief Society Organizations. Also, she and her husband served a full-time mission for the church at Portland, Oregon in 1980. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and family history research. Survivors include her husband, Clive S. Wallace; Daughters: Susan Wallace of Bend, Oregon, Janet Hendrix of Clayton, California; Grandchildren: Julie Hendrix and Ryan Hendrix; Great-Grandchildren: Jasmine Picot-Hendrix and Natalie Hendrix; Son-in-Law, Ralph Hendrix; Nephew, James Frost and Niece, Janne Arceo. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Funeral Home in Antioch on Thursday May 4, 2006 at 2 p.m. Bishop Steve Evans of the Antioch Ward of the LDS church will officiate. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
