John VanWie
The death of John VanWie occurred Friday, Nov. 15, at the family home after an illness of several, months, brought about by a fall from a hay mow at harvest time.

Surviving are his wife, Julia; one son, Floyd, of Baldwinsville; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Baldwin, Ira, and Mrs. Hattie Bunville, Phoenix. A son, Herbert, died in 1917, a victim of infantile paralysis.

Mr. VanWie was born in 1863 near Bethel, and was the last of a family of nine children. His brother, James, died about a month ago. Mr. and Mrs. VanWie celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago this coming New Years day. They were active members of the M. E. church for many years
and have occupied the present family home for 40 years, having built the residence as it now stands.

The funeral was held on Nov. 18, in charge of Mr. Madden of Baldwinsville. Rev. D. Bunville, son-inlaw of the deaceased, delivered the sermon. Rev. Buunville was assisted in the service by Rev. H. Fisher of the South Hannibal Federated
church. Burial was made in White's cemetery. The funeral was largely attended. The family has the sympathy of the community.
